A few weeks before the fight scheduled for August 22 against Alexander Povetkin (35-2-1, 24 KOs), WBC interim heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte (27-1, 18 KOs) announced that he was ending his collaboration with the coach Mark Tibbs.
The Body Snatcher reported that he is currently training in Portugal and his former trainer for family and professional reasons cannot leave the UK.
Whyte’s confrontation against Povetkin will be the main event of the evening in the garden of the Matchroom Boxing promotion organization in Essex, which will be held in the UK as part of a paid broadcast.
