Nurmagomedov vs Gaethje on September 19

UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will hold his next fight against interim champion of the organization in this weight Justin Gaethje. The fight will take place on September 19 within UFC 253. At the moment, the venue of the fight remains unknown: either Las Vegas or Abu Dhabi. This information is reported by the Brazilian resource Combate. The promotion has not officially confirmed it yet.

Gaethje won the title of interim UFC champion in the fight against Tony Ferguson. Initially, Nurmagomedov was supposed to fight El Cucuy, but the battle broke out due to COVID-19 quarantine.
