Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) wants the fight against Kubrat Pulev (28-1, 14 KOs) to take place in the UK. The current IBF, WBA and WBO champion is ready to lower his financial requirements in order to bring the fight against the Bulgarian to his native audience.

Joshua, 30, has not fought in the UK for a year and a half. The bout against Pulev was supposed to take place at a football stadium in London, but the coronavirus epidemic did not allow organizing the event at such a large facility now. Eddie Hearn announced that despite attractive foreign offers, he is looking for a smaller platform for Joshua’s next fight.

“We have offers from the Middle and Far East. The Croats also want to hold this fight at their venue, although they have not made an official offer yet. Joshua really wants to perform in the UK, and we are looking for a smaller facility at the end of the year. We hope that the current situation will allow us to organize an evening with the fans, Anthony considers it a priority to have a fight here,” the British promoter said.

Kubrat Pulev has already announced that he will donate half of his purse in this performance for the fight against coronavirus in Bulgaria. This amount should be about 1.5 million euros.
