Sports in the United States are beginning to return after a period of complete shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf has signed a decree that allows professional athletes born outside the United States to enter the country. Open borders mean more opportunities, including for representatives of martial arts.
The decision, signed by Wolf, is primarily aimed at helping foreign players of American team sports who went to their countries after the break of pandemic. However, martial arts representatives will also be able to take advantage of the new rules. For boxers, this means that the teams of many European and Asian stars will soon be able to come to the United States.
Organizations associated with martial arts are satisfied with the decision of the American government, and loudly express their joy on social networks. For example, UFC, the largest MMA organization in the world, will now be able to attract a number of foreign athletes to its evenings, including Conor McGregor.
