WBC and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. (26-0, 21 KOs) is scheduled to meet former world champion in two weight categories Danny Garcia (35-2, 21 KOs) in the next bout. This was announced by Mike Koppinger of The Athletic. Their meeting was scheduled for January 25, but was delayed due to a car accident with Spence.
A serious accident occurred in early October. The American lost control in his sports car when he was driving at high speed while intoxicated. In the end, Spence did not receive serious injuries, and soon he promised to return to the ring.
The last time Spence fought in September, defeating Shawn Porter on points. In January, Garcia spent all twelve rounds in a fight against Ivan Redkach. Prior to this, The Swift defeated Adrian Granados.
