The third fight of Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) against Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs) will take place no earlier than November or December. This was stated by Bob Arum, the promoter of the British boxer. The duel was originally scheduled for July 18, but due to the pandemic coronavirus was postponed to October 3. Arum claims that organizing a meeting on this date will also be impossible.
Another change in the date is related to the problems of financing. If both boxers want to maintain the level of their purses, the fight should be held with the participation of the audience. The revenue from ticket sales in the second battle was $17 million.
The third duel of Wilder and Fury will take place in Las Vegas, as well as their rematch. In February, Fury defeated Wilder by TKO and took away his world heavyweight title.
The third fight will be shown in the United States on Pay-Per-View. Paid broadcast of the second battle was bought by more than 800,000 people.
