Pulev confirms that Joshua fight is postponed to July 25

Kubrat Pulev (28-1, 14 KOs) has confirmed that July 25 is the new date of his bout against Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs). The bout was originally planned on June 20.

"According to information I received, the fight will take place on July 25. Everybody believes that to this date the situation will be solved, so we must quickly adapt our preparations for the new date," the Bulgarian said.

Fight Joshua vs Pulev will be held at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Due to the pandemic coronavirus  Matchroom Boxing had to postpone all the boxing evenings scheduled for the upcoming weeks.

Joshua and Pulev will battle for IBF, WBO and WBA belts, that belongs to the Englishman. It will be the first defence of Joshua of the belts he reclaimed last December in a rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr.
