Hearn: Maybe we'll return to events with audience next year only

Eddie Hearn is preparing to announce a new boxing calendar from Matchroom Boxing. One of the largest and most active promotional companies in the world had to stop the organization of all its activities in the coming weeks.

"The situation is difficult, and the uncertainty impairs it even more. We try to plan in the new reality gradually, but things are changing very quickly. It upsets all of us, but the fights are more than boxing," Hearn said.

"Probably, we will begin with the organization of event without the participation of the audience. Looking at what is happening, to hold tournaments with the audience may become possible no earlier than next year. There are some very pessimistic forecasts," the director of Matchroom Boxing explained.

Hearn is a promoter of Anthony Joshua, Gennady Golovkin and Alexander Usyk. The Briton is planning to organize the first boxing event in June.
