Until now, most fights with WBC titles at stake were 12-rounders. Now WBC reduces the number of rounds in the fights for regional belts up to 10 rounds, and in some cases up to 8 rounds.
This experiment also will give the possibility for the boxers without a lot of experience in pro ranks to fight for titles. The first such fight will take place on December 7 in Saudi Arabia between Omar Dusari and Zuhair Al Qahtani. They will fight for WBC Middle East title.
