Andrey Fedosov (31-3, 25 KOs) is likely to become a new opponent for Oleksandr Usyk (16-0, 12 KOs), who makes his heavyweight debut on October 12 in Chicago on the evening of Matchroom Boxing. Previously, Cameroonian Carlos Takam was considered for this role.
32-year-old Usyk last boxed in November, he scored a TKO win over Tony Bellew. Former undisputed cruiserweight champion was about to make his debut in the new weight class in May, but he injured his biceps and had to postpone the fight.
Fedosov have also had a long break in boxing. The 33-year old Russian last boxed in October when he defeated Joey Dawejko on points.
At the same boxing evening in Chicago WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol will have his next professional bout. However, at the moment it is still unknown who will be his opponent.
