DAZN agrees on Derevyanchenko as Alvarez's opponent

DAZN platform adopted Sergiy Derevyanchenko (13-1 10 KOs) as a candidate for the battle with the middleweight champion Saul Alvarez (52-1-2, 35 KO). This was reported by a boxing journalist Mike Coppinger in one of the social networks. Their fight could take place on September 26 in Las Vegas, if negotiations are successful.

Earlier, Canelo's fight with the Ukrainian as the mandatory challenger was imposed by the IBF, and at first it seemed that the Mexican and DAZN team will not be interested in this option because of the low marketing value of the potential opponent.

Saul Alvarez, who last boxed in May, defeating Daniel Jacobs, is currently the owner of IBF and WBA belts. Recently, he was also awarded with the WBC Franchise title.
