Gassiev is injured, will not fight in July

Former cruiserweight champion Murat Gassiev (26-1, 19 KOs) has got a right shoulder injury and will not be able to meet Joey Dawejko (19-7-4, 11 KOs). The bout was supposed to become one of the main events of the boxing evening in Arlington scheduled for July 27. Organizers has not officially confirmed this information yet.

For 25-year-old Gassiev this fight was going to be the debut in the heavyweights. The Russian has not fought since last year's defeat to Alexander Usyk in the WBSS final.

The main event of the DAZN boxing evening in Arlington will be a unification bout in the light welterweights between Maurice Hooker and Jose Carlos Ramirez. WBO and WBC championships belts will be at stake in this meeting.
