Gvozdyk vs Beterbiev on October 18 for WBC and IBF titles

On October 18 there will be held a unification bout in the light heavyweight division between WBC champion Alexander Gvozdyk (17-0, 14 KOs) and IBF title holder Arthur Beterbiyev (14-0, 14 KOs). The bout will take place in the United States.

34-year-old Beterbiev announced that he has signed a contract for the fight. The last time the Russian fought in May, winning by knockout over Radivoje Kalajdzic. Beterbiev holds the IBF belt from November 2017.

In his last bout, Gvozdyk defeated Doudou Ngumbu. The Ukrainian holds the WBC title from last December.
