Gary Russell to sign with Hearn?

WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell Jr. (30-1, 18 KOs) announced that he is a free agent, and his contract with Al Haymon and Prime Boxing Champions came to an end. Soon the 30-year-old American may sign with Eddie Hearn and the platform DAZN.

Over the past four years, Russell was fighting only once a year. Boxer from Washington wants to fight more often and hopes that he will have the opportunity to meet other champions of his weight category.

In the last bout, Russell won by TKO in the fifth round over Kiko Martinez. Russell may appear on the evening of Matchroom Boxing on Saturday in Oxon Hill.
