Sergey Kharitonov could hold his next fight in August of this year. According to the fighter, he was invited to take have a rematch in August with Matt Mitrione. Kharitonov accepted the offer, now it remains for Mitrione to accept it.
"Bellator called and offered a fight with Mitrione. They asked whether I am ready for the meeting with him in August. I said I was ready. Now we are waiting for a response from Matt."
The bout between Kharitonov and Mitrione was held in February and lasted only 15 seconds: Mitrione landed a kick straight in the groin of the Russian fighter and he could not continue the fight. As a result, it has been declared a no contest. In this case, both fighters received their purses.
