Korobov vs Aleem ends in a draw

At the boxing evening in Fairfax, the bout of the former Russian Olympian Matt Korobov against Immanuwel Aleem was scored by the judges as a draw: twice 95-95 and 97-93 in favor of Korobov. Initially, the result of the battle was announced as the victory of Korobov by a majority decision, but later a representative of Virginia State Athletic Commission stated that this happened because of an error in the calculations.

Korobov started the fight well, but towards the end of the battle he was noticeably tired, and Aleem had some good moments when he managed to visibly hurt the Russian.

According to the CompuBox statistics, in 10 rounds Korobov landed 154 shots out of 417 (37%), Aleem landed 119 shots out of 630 (19%).
