Julian Williams (27-1-1, 16 KOs) scored a unanimous decision win over Jarrett Herd (23-1, 16 KOs) and took his WBA and IBF super welterweight titles. This fight was the main event of a boxing night in Fairfax, Virginia.

The bout took a very fierce turn from the very start. Hurd in his usual manner put constant pressure on the enemy and tried to force him to defend himself. Williams worked on counterattacks, responded effectively and in the second round sent his opponent in knockdown.

Hurd was more active, but Williams' punches were more accurate. After twelve rounds, the judges scored it 116-111 and 115-112 twice in favor of Williams, who for the first time in his career won the world title.
