Usyk’s injured, Takam fight to be postponed

Oleksander Usyk will not be able to fight against Carlos Takam due to injury. This was announced on Tuesday by the head of the promotion company Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn. The debut of the Ukrainian unified cruiserweight champion was set on May 25 at the MGM National Harbor arena in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

“Due to a bicep injury, Oleksander Usyk has been forced to postpone his heavyweight debut against Carlos Takam, scheduled for May 25. An announcement regarding our Maryland show will be made shortly,” Hearn wrote on his twitter.
