Iranian athlete Sadaf Khadem, who is engaged in the martial arts, faces a prison term in Iran. According to media reports, the authorities decided to arrest a woman for entering the ring without the hijab. In addition, Khadem is accused of conducting training under the leadership of a man, which is also illegal in Iran.

It is reported that the Federation of Amateur Boxing of Iran did not intervene in the case and said that the boxer was a private individual at the competition.

Khadem is the first athlete from Iran, who managed to win the international boxing match.

Sadaf Khadem fought in France in mid-February. After receiving information that she might be arrested in her own country, she refused to return to Tehran.
