Joshua vs Ruiz Jr. officially on June 1

Matchroom Boxing's promotional organization officially announced that the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (22-0, 21 KOs) will meet Andy Ruiz Jr. (32-1, 21 KOs) on June 1 at the DAZN boxing night in New York at Madison Square Garden.

Initially, Joshua’s opponent was Jarrell Miller, who, however, three times failed doping tests.

For Anthony Joshua, the June performance will be a professional debut in the United States. For Andy Ruiz Jr. this will be the second chance to challenge the world title. Previously, he had unsuccessfully fought for the WBO belt with Joseph Pracker, losing in an equal battle on points.
