WBC/IBF/WBO cruiserweight champion Oleksander Usyk (16-0, 12 KOs) in his last interview said that his future fight against heavyweight Carlos Takam (36-5-1, 28 KOs) will be the beginning of his journey in the new division.
“May 25th will be a turning point in my career when I go to the heavyweights. In the cruiserweight I became the undisputed champion of the world, and this is my goal in the new division.
“This is a real challenge, and it will begin on May 25 in a fight against Carlos Takam. This is the first fight in the new division, but I have to test my strength in a fight with a world-class rival,” Usyk said.
