Lara - Castano ends in a draw

In the main event of the evening in Brooklyn, the fight of Erislandy Lara (25-3-3, 14 KOs) and Brian Castano (15-0-1, 11 KOs) was declared a draw. After twelve rounds, the judges scored it 114-114, 115-113 in favor of the Argentine and 115-113 for the Cuban.

The fight was equal and tough from the very beginning, but none of the boxers could achieve a clear advantage in the eyes of the judges. The WBA light middleweight title was at stake, which remained in the hands of Castano.
