Olympic gold medalist Tishchenko scores his fourth victory as a pro

Olympic boxing champion Evgeny Tishchenko of Russia scored the fourth victory in the pro ranks. In the 8-round bout in Yekaterinburg, Tishchenko beat José Gregorio Ulrich of Argentina by unanimous decision.

Initially it was planned that Tishchenko will meet with Czech Vaclav Peisar, and after that with the former IBO champion in two weight categories Thomas Ostheisen of South Africa.

27-year-old Tishchenko now has four wins (two by knockout) and no defeats. He has been performing as a pro since August 2018. In the amateurs the Russian is the Olympic champion of 2016, world champion (2015), two-time European champion (2015, 2017) and winner of the 2013 Universiade.

The 26-year-old Ulrich has 17 victories (six by knockout) and three defeats.
