Santa Cruz earns $1 million for the battle in Los Angeles, Rivera - $20 thousand

Per the California State Athletic Commission, Leo Santa Cruz (36-1-1, 19 KOs) earned one million dollars for his fight at a boxing Saturday night in Los Angeles. The Mexican defeated Rafael Rivera (26-3-2, 17 KOs) and defended his WBA featherweight title.

Rivera's purse was significantly lower and amounted to only 20 thousand dollars. FOX TV shown this fight in the United States.

In Los Angeles, there was also a duel between Omar Figueroa Jr. and John Molina. Figueroa earned 225 thousand dollars, Molina - $200 thousand.
