Andrade stops Akavov

Demetrius Andrade (27-0, 17 KOs) successfully defended his WBO middleweight title by stopping Artur Akavov (19-3, 8 KOs) in the twelfth round at the main event of the evening in New York. The American dominated the entire fight, but stopping the fight 24 seconds before the final bell, after just one champion’s punch looked very controversial.
