Andy Ruiz signs with Al Haymon

Former heavyweight contender Andy Ruiz (31-1, 20 KOs) has signed with Al Haymon. Ruiz, 29, terminated his contract with Top Rank, because he was unhappy with the way Bob Arum’s stable conducted his career.

At the moment it is still unknown when Ruiz will hold his next fight. Recently, the American expressed a desire to cross his gloves with Adam Kownacki.

Ruiz returned to the ring in March last year after a break of more than a year. The last time a fighter from California boxed in July, beating on points Kevin Johnson.
