Former cruiserweight champion Murat Gassiev spoke about his desire to hold a rematch with Alexander Usyk. Gassiev reached the final in the first season of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) and lost to Usyk.
“Now I am recovering from an injury. I underwent a surgery, we are going through a recovery course. As soon as we can train, we’ll start a camp. I hope that I will start training soon and return to the ring with new desire in the new year.
“Bandage is removed, hand heals. I hope everything goes well. Now we need to recover, and I would certainly like to have a rematch with Usyk, and as soon as possible.
“I miss boxing, of course, it's part of my life. I can't live without boxing, I haven't been training for a month and a half. I strongly miss this. Now I read various interesting books, spend time with family and friends. While I cannot do anything in terms of training," said Gassiev.
