Lebedev: Povetkin did not give Joshua anything to do, but missed one punch

Alexander Povetkin was in a good shape and correctly led the fight with Anthony Joshua, but missed one punch and AJ no longer missed the opportunity to end the fight by knockout. This opinion was expressed by Denis Lebedev.

"It's wrong to say that there was a mistake. Everything was going well for Alexander, but his Majesty's box is interesting, so that everything can change in a second. Joshua is still a young fighter, he still has much to learn, his potential is big. Povetkin seized the initiative, but missed one punch, and Joshua, it should be noted, a good flair, he did not let go," commented Lebedev.

"Maybe it was that he was younger, but I think that Sasha was in good shape too: dodges, body movement, he did not give Joshua anything to do. Everything was done right, but he lost concentration. And this is the heavyweight, it all ended quickly,” added Lebedev.

Lebedev avoided answering the question of whether Povetkin should finish his career after such a defeat. "It's up to him, I do not even want to talk about it, he will decide," the boxer said.
