Alexander Krasyuk, the promoter of the WBA, WBC, WBO, WBO, IBF and The Ring cruiserweight champion Alexander Usyk (15-0, 11 KOs) explained how occurred the substitution of Usyk’s coach after the WBSS semi-final.

- Two interrelated issues. Usyk broke up with his coach Sergey Vatamanyuk. He was with your company K2 Promotion on the contract, and the agreement had to be torn up, or just worked with Alexander on personal relationships?

- No, we did not have a contract with Vatamanyuk. It was the initiative of Usyk to work with him, they were comfortable. But they broke up.

- Then tell us, what is the role of Anatoly Lomachenko, the father of our other champion and Usyk’s friend, in his team?

- It did not change. He was always his mentor, he stayed him.

- And do not he want to become an official coach of Usyk? Or Lomachenko Sr. does not want to tear himself up for two fighters, preferring to work only with his son?

- The relationships between Anatoly Lomachenko and Alexander after such a number of years are very deep... And they are not just the relations of an athlete and a coach - it's much bigger and much deeper. Therefore, I honestly cannot and not even have the right to comment on something - it's too personal for them.

- So now the cutman is officially the coach of Usyk?

- Yes, Usyk’s coach is Russ Anber. And Anatoly Lomachenko remains his mentor.
