Povetkin: Joshua is the world champion, and this is my main motivation

Former world champion Alexander Povetkin talked about his motivation at a press conference in London dedicated to the fight on September 22 at the Wembley Stadium against the unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

"I am very glad that this fight will happen. Anthony now is the strongest in the world, and he has proved this many times. Probably every boxer wants to meet the strongest. And I am very glad that this will happen," said Povetkin.

"We are developing technical actions that we will try to accomplish in the battle. I understand that Anthony Joshua is the world champion and no easy fight for me. But I'll be ready. For me, the main motivation is that he is the world champion and is the strongest," Povetkin added.
