Unified cruiserweight champion Alexander Usyk announced that he was preparing for the final of the World Boxing Super Series in Moscow on July 21 against the owner of two titles Murat Gassiev under the guidance of the Canadian specialist Russ Anber, who previously worked as his cutman. Sergei Vatamanyuk, who was listed as Usyk’s coach before, was not in the Ukrainian training camp this time.

"Sergei was not my real coach, he just helped me in some things. We now parted with him, because what he gave me did not help me to develop. To work with a man so that he just was, it's not for me. He's a good guy, but a good guy is not a profession," Usyk said.
