Alvarado stops Martinez

Former world champion Mike Alvarado (39-4, 27 KOs) scored a TKO victory over Martin Angel Martinez (17-15-1, 10 KOs) when the latter was unable to continue the fight after the ninth round due to a serious cut. The fight was in the welterweights. It should be noted that at the time of the stoppage, the fight was difficult for Alvarado.
