UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov of Russia said he was not interested in a fight with American Nate Diaz.
"Nate is a good fighter, not bad, but suffered 11 losses. There are more worthy candidates who deserve a title fight. Why should I fight him? If he wants to fight, then let him win. Let him win 9-10 fights in a row and fight for the title in the UFC. To earn the belt, I won 10 bouts. If a person loses 11 times, how can he fight for a belt?" Nurmagomedov said at a meeting with fans in Chelyabinsk.
The 29-year-old fighter also said that he would not perform at the debut UFC tournament in Russia, which is rumored to be scheduled for September 15.
