Owen Roddy, one of the trainers of the former UFC champion in two weight categories Conor McGregor, made it clear that his fighter was determined to return to the octagon.

"Now there is no information on our next opponent, but, frankly, it does not matter. The public is only interested in McGregor, and his opponent is just someone who opposes him. Just bring McGregor back to the cage - that's more important than anything else. He trains and he is in excellent condition.

While I cannot say when he will return, it will definitely happen. I'm sure that the UFC needs McGregor and his extravagance. Everyone in the world is eagerly awaiting a new fight of McGregor in the UFC - the sooner this happens, the better it will be for fans of the MMA," Roddy said in an interview to Express Sport.

The 29-year-old Irishman has not appeared in the Octagon since November 2016.
