A. Emelianenko to have a rematch with Mirko Cro Cop?

Russian MMA fighter Alexander Emelianenko can have a rematch with Croatian Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic. This was stated at a press conference by Alexey Titov, the executive director of RCC Boxing.

"All the strong fighters in the heavyweight division are engaged, as a rule, by contracts in UFC," said Titov. "Other fighters are either exclusively signed to Bellator, or have the opportunity to fight in other organizations. In this promotion we are interested in the fight between Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic and Roy Nelson. They are potential rivals to Alexander."

Earlier it became known that Emelianenko had signed a contract with RCC Boxing for four fights. The Russian will fight the Brazilian Gabriel Gonzaga on May 5.

Emelianenko lost to Filipovic by knockout in 2004 in a fight within Pride. In 2013, he was one of the athletes in the "Legend" organization, but his fight was canceled and the contract with the Russian was terminated.
