On the night of April 7 in Brooklyn, USA, UFC 223 will take place, in the main event of which a title fight in lightweight division between the featherweight champion Max Holloway and Khabib Nurmagomedov was scheduled.

Unfortunately, the Russian fighter for the second time in a week remains without an opponent - Holloway was not admitted to the tournament for medical reasons.

"Holloway officially withdrawn from tomorrow's tournament. He will not be at weigh-in. One of the representatives of the Holloway team said that it was not enough time but Max continued to work. Today doctors forbade him to continue losing weight. It is not that Max refused, but doctors banned it," wrote journalist Ariel Halvani on his Twitter.

Initially Nurmagomedov's rival was supposed to be Tony Ferguson, but the American tore the cruciform ligament six days before the fight. Now the leadership of UFC is urgently looking for an opponent for Nurmagomedov.
