Regis Prograis (21-0, 18 KOs) scored a TKO victory in the second round over former world champion Julius Indongo (22-2, 11 KOs) and won the vacant WBC super lightweight title in the main event of the boxing evening in Deadwood, South Dakota. Indongo was knocked down at the end of the first round and was three times on the floor in the second round from the left hands of Prograis, until the fight was finally stopped at 2:54.
According to CompuBox, Prograis landed 46 punches from 94 thrown (49%). Indongo threw out 120 punches, but only 32 (27%) hit the target. Out of 54 power punches of Prograis, 29 (54%) reached the target. Prograis also worked much more accurately to the body - 22-8 against enemy hits.
