WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol commented on the defense of his belt by knockout of the Cuban Sullivan Barrera at Madison Square Garden in New York.
"Sullivan was a strong opponent and showed me what I need to work on when I return to the gym. Thanks to Barrera, who pointed out my weaknesses. As for the fight itself, in the first rounds I held myself back, because I knew that it was necessary to keep power for the whole distance, and when I realized that I could knock out an opponent, I simply added and did it. I want to be the best light heavyweight and I'm ready to fight the best," said Bivol.
