Jacare and Gastelum to meet at UFC 224 on May 12

The bout between top light middleweights Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza and Kelvin Gastelum is officially added to the tournament's card 224, which will be held on May 12 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Souza (25-5) at the beginning of the last year was a step away from a title fight, but lost by knockout to Robert Whittaker, who later became the champion. In this fight the Brazilian got a rupture of the pectoral muscle, which entailed the operation and a long recovery. Jacare returned on January 27 - it took him only three and a half minutes to stop Derek Branson.

Gastelum (13-3) last appeared in the Octagon last November, when he knocked out in the first round former champion Michael Bisping. This fight allowed the young American to return to the victory streak after losing to another former champion Chris Weidman in July.
