Jedrzejczyk: Before Namajunas fight, doctor made mistake, not coaches

Former UFC champion in women's minimum division, Joanna Jedrzejczyk once again told about the reasons for the defeat to Rose Namajunas last November.

"Training activities happens very often, but I'm focused. I dedicate every free minute to recovery, nutrition and conditioning. There are victories and defeats in sport, and the last fight was not in my favor, as people from my team failed me.

"Many were interested whether I would change the coaches and the gym. I answered negatively, as my coaches did their best to lead me to the fight in the best possible form. The doctor, who had a great influence on my condition 30 hours before the fight, let me down. People who are not related to sports, in which you need to monitor the weight, do not know what food means. This often negatively affects your health and even life.

"I ask for patience, just like I'm waiting for the day when I will return the title in the strawweight division," said Jedrzejczyk.

The rematch between Namajunas and Jedrzejczyk is scheduled for April 7 at UFC 223 in Brooklyn, USA.
