Cormier knocks Ozdemir out in second round (video)

In the co-main event of UFC 220 tournament in Boston light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier scored a convincing victory over Volkan Ozdemir.

Ozdemir started the fight more actively, attacking with speedy series of blows. In the middle of the round, Cormier was able to find the right distance and began to deliver heavy blows to his opponent, which caused damage to Ozdemir. Toward the end of the round, Cormier managed to transfer the fight to the ground and, having occupied a favorable position, began to hold a suffocating, but the bell sounded.

The second five-minute Cormier started with a successful takedown and took the side position in the pit, depriving Ozdemir of the opportunity to respond to the attacks. Volkan missed a huge number of strikes and could not get out of the predicament - the referee stopped the fight at around 2:00 of the second round.
