According to London tabloids, the unification bout of two world heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker will take place on March 31 in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium, where Joshua had his last fight in October against Carlos Takam. The meeting ended with 10th-round stoppage and gathered record bracking 78,000 spectators.

It is expected that on Thursday, Joseph Parker will arrive in the UK to hold a press conference at which the duel will be officially announced. In the UK this meeting will be shown as part of a paid broadcast by Sky Sports, in the US the show will be broadcasted by Showtime. There will be three main heavyweight titles at stake - IBF, WBA and WBO.

Negotiations for this fight took more than a month. The main stumbling block for the parties was the division of the general purse. As a result, Parker's team will receive about a third of the total, Joshua - about 67%. Thus, for this fight, Joshua will receive about £15 million (approximately $20.3 million), and Parker - £7 million (about $ 9.5 million).
