Nurmagomedov defeats Barboza

Russian MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov got a confident victory over Brazilian Edson Barboza at the UFC 219 tournament in Las Vegas, USA.

From the first seconds of the battle, Nurmagomedov began pressing, while Barbosa attacked with low kicks and blows to the mid section. At the end of the second minute Khabib was able to transfer the fight to the ground, where he methodically and without haste "broke" the Brazilian desperately trying to rise in the rack.

Since the beginning of the second round Khabib decided to "hack" with a weakened opponent in the rack, and quite successfully. In the middle of the round the Russian conducted a transfer to the ground, where in his usual manner he pounded dozens of blows to the head of his counterpart.

In final round Khabib started to attack in the rack again. But later the Russian transferred the duel to his element again, exhausting the opponent with impeccable work in the stalls with a hail of blows, and then confidently led the fight to the final bell.

Thus, Khabib Nurmagomedov got the victory by unanimous decision (30-25, 30-25, 30-24) and confirmed his claims to the championship belt.
