Lemieux: With a healthy hand, I would have 100% beat Saunders

Former world champion David Lemieux once again complained about a hand injury that he allegedly received in a fight against WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders, that "prevented him from winning." Two weeks ago, Saunders won a convincing and one-sided victory over Lemieux in his native Canada.

"I would have beaten him with a healthy shoulder. I'm 100% sure," said Lemieux.

"I obviously do not compare myself to him, but Muhammad Ali has five defeats on his record and is considered to be the best boxer of all time," Lemieux said. "You have not yet seen my end, I promise you that there will still be some beautiful boxing evenings in the future."
