Khegai knocked out Tretyakov on the last seconds of the fight

In the spectacular battle Arnold Khegai (11-0, 8 KOs) of Ukraine knocked out in the 10th round previously undefeated Valery Tretyakov (11-1, 4 KOs) of Russia in the boxing evening from the promotional company "World of Boxing" in Moscow.

The fight happened to be a feast of trading punches, when both opponents went into open blow exchanges without a shadow of a doubt. Khegai had an upper hand in them. At the end of the fight Tretyakov began to receive too many punches, but incredible stamina and skillful clinching allowed him to stay on feet.

An unexpected and dramatic end came at the very end of the 10th round, when Tretyakov missed the precise left to the jaw from which he turned his back to Khegai. Tretyakov was clearly out on his feet, and walked away from his opponent. Khegai rushed to finish him and landed two more blows to the head from behind, after which Tretyakov crashed to the floor unconscious. The time was 2:58.

Fortunately Valery recovered but he met the announcement of the result of the battle with an uncomprehending face, whether waiting for the judges' score, or hoping for Khegai’s disqualification. Arni could be disqualified hypothetically as his punches could be landed after the command of the referee "stop."
