Hughie Fury set for July 8 tuneup

Undefeated Heavyweight Hughie Fury will return to the ring on promoter Frank Warren’s July 8th Copper Box Arena card in London. The younger cousin of former Unified World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury was due to challenge WBO Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker for his belt last month in New Zealand but was forced to postpone when he injured his back.

“I can’t wait to get back under the lights and do what I do best,” said Fury. “I was disappointed to miss out my shot against Parker but this is boxing and injuries happen all of the time. I will get my shot at the WBO Heavyweight belt later this year and follow in the footsteps of Tyson.”
