Garbrandt reacted to Figueredo's defiant remarks

Former UFC lightweight champion Cody Garbrandt responded to his closest rival, former lower division titleholder Deiveson Figueredo.

Earlier, the Brazilian claimed that the American has serious mental health issues.

"Figueredo has failed the weight several times. It's just piggish and the biggest psychological problem you can ever face. So Davison has to digest that and realize that he's already mentally weak.

He has no distinguishing qualities so you can think, "This guy is special." No, he's a regular person. My skills are far superior to his, across the board. Wrestling, striking, training, speed, and of course footwork. I'm just excited to go out there and impose that pace on him and just drown him in it," Garbrandt is quoted by Yahoo Sports.

As a reminder, Garbrandt and Figueredo will fight on April 13 at UFC 300 in Las Vegas.
