Barber: "The fight with Namajunas is a step backwards."

American mixed martial arts fighter Macey Barber, ranked fourth in the UFC's lightweight division, said she is not interested in fighting former champion Rose Namajunas.

"Let Rose fight Erin Blanchfield. For me, a fight with Namajunas would be a step back, I want a bigger check. It's not an easy situation in the division though. Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso will have their third fight, and there's also Manon Fioro in the title race.

If it was up to me, I would face Alexa Grasso. I heard that Valentina doesn't want to fight Alexa in Mexico. If that's the case, I'm ready to replace her," MMA Mania quoted Byber as saying.
