Oliveira's trainer: 'It would be cool to fight McGregor'

The coach of former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, Diego Lima, has admitted he would love to see his charge fight against star ex-two-division titleholder Conor McGregor.

The Brazilian is set to share the octagon with Arman Tsarukyan on April 13 at UFC 300 in Las Vegas, USA.

"It would be cool to fight McGregor next. Even if it happened at welterweight - that would be cool. Then you could fight for the title too. A fight with Conor is an event. Plus, he was considering it himself. If we had the opportunity to choose, we would like to meet Conor.

Of course, we're approaching the question in stages. First we need to pass Arman, Charles only thinks about that. He doesn't think about a rematch with Makhachev or a fight with McGregor. I'm strategizing exclusively for Tsarukyan," Lima was quoted by MMA Fighting.
