Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman said that he will not refuse a second fight with Bruno Silva if it is the will of the promotion.

The American earned an early win over the Brazilian at UFC on ESPN 54 last weekend, but took several pokes to his opponent's eyes before doing so.

"If the UFC wants to make that rematch, I'll do it. But I'd love to move on. It's not that I'm afraid of him, but I've felt everything he has to offer and I think I'll only perform better. If they want a rematch, I'm open to it.

I sympathize with Bruno, he was very upset, but he fought me for thirteen minutes and lost the fight. It was a legitimate win. On the judges' scorecards I won all three rounds. Was that the way I wanted to win? Of course not. I had no intention of poking him in the eye with my finger. It was a fluke," MMA Fighting quoted Weidman as saying.
